NOTICE: Main Line Break at Corner of Barrow and Main Streets
Yesterday evening a water main ruptured at the corner of Barrow and Main Streets. The pipe will have to be replaced. To ensure public safety, we have suspended work to replace the damaged waterline until tomorrow. The damaged area of the pipe has been clamped, but the leak remains. It is small enough to wait until Sunday for repairs. Construction work to replace that portion of the pipe will resume at 7:00 am on Sunday, March 29, 2026. The work area, including sidewalks, is currently fenced off. Please use caution when traveling in this area.
Thank you for your patience. And thank you in advance for respecting the work zone and our crews’ safety.
