All Requests to Start Water Service must be made in person at the Main Office at 8814 Main Street, Houma, LA 70363.

  • For new, residential (3/4") service please refer to the instructions on the Residential Meters page.

  • For new service using a large meter (1" and above) please refer to the instructions on the Large Meter Requests page.

  • To start service at a location with an existing water service connection:

    • Applicable Meter Deposit

      • 3/4" Meter = $50.00

      • 1" Meter = $300.00

      • 2" Meter and larger = $1000.00

    • $25.00 Meter Installation Fee

    • Any and all outstanding balances with Consolidated Waterworks must be cleared in order to start service.

    • All requests received before 2:00 p.m. will be turned on the same day. All requests received after 2:00 p.m. will be turned on the following business day.


  • To transfer service to another location with an existing service connection:

    • $25.00 Meter Installation Fee

    • Any and all outstanding balances with Consolidated Waterworks must be cleared in order to start service.

All Requests to Stop Water Service should be made either in person at the Main Office or by calling in to 985-879-2495. To request Water Service be stopped by telephone, the customer MUST have the Account Number for the service to be discontinued. A disconnect date and a forwarding address for the final bill must be provided.
